Christmas 2008

Santa and Mrs Claus arrived early in December for a small parade in Golden Colorado. It was a brisk day, but not much snow yet.

Alpaca's dressed in their very warm fur coats even showed up for this event.
Golden always has a small town parade with old time costumes, and hot cocoa provided by the store owners. Oh what fun....

The kitchen of course needed the most work and we started from scratch. It went from this rough-in,

to the almost complete new look, with custom cabinets and all stainless steel appliance.
We decided on solid granite counter tops...
Wow!! What a difference!

Atlantic fix and flip house

Keith decided to do another fix an flip property. We found a home in a great neighborhood, at the end of a cul de sac, that needed some love and some updating.

We put on a new roof, all new windows and doors, and Keith also showed off his architectural and construction skills with the new exterior designs.(the neat arch over the garage.

The living room , dining room, kitchen and hearth room have all new hardwood floors. Some paint(like in every room) really helps freshen up the inside.

Keith completely reworked the entire lower level. It had a small, cut up "family room", which he opened up and expanded. There are also 2 bedrooms, and a full bath on this level, as well as a huge laundry/craft/sewing room, as well as the utility room. All new walls and lighting with new carpet and tile will make this level of the ranch ideal for a home theater and game room.

Then we had Thanksgiving again at Manor Care, with great Grandpa and Grandma Felix. This was an opportunity for the entire family to get together again, which really made the patriarch and matriarch of our family very happy. We all were able to pose for a special family picture.
WOW!! What a beautiful winter morning sunrise in Colorado...a little snow turns pink as the sun breaks the horizon. Thank you God for your beautiful artwork...every day!

Grandma Felix made Paul a "Robin Hood" outfit. You see, Uncle Justin and Aunt Rachael got him
the Disney version video of Robin Hood(with the Fox as Robin). Well Paul, fell in love with
the whole idea and talked about it incessantly...so grandma just had to make it complete with
a bow and arrrow too.

Keith's sister Patty visited in September. She was able to meet her new great neice, Brianna.
Every time Patty visits, she cooks up a wonderful seafood meal, with all kinds of seafood and fish, plus some BBQ. We just put paper down on the tables, shell the various kinds of yummy food, and eat them right up! MMMMMM!!

Jason and Justin LOVE these meals so much they decided to "toast" by bumping their shrimps together. (See their full mouths and the pile of shrimp shells and crab legs on the tables)?
