White Water Rafting on The Colorado River, May 22,2010

Keith and I spent a long weekend
enjoying spring in Colorado, by going
to Glenwood Canyon.

We celebrated my 57th birthday, and
our 36th wedding Anniversary...

by going rafting on the great Colorado River.





We put in at the Shoshoni Rapids.

We were all glad they had the complete
wet suits and booties, to keep us warm.


This is gonna be FUN!!!!

I think we got wet!!!

BUT it is so worth it!!!

The rapids were great!

What a ride..We went through
these wild waters, with names
like: Baptism,

Tombstone, and

Maneater!





Down....
Then UP..!!!!

The Colorado River was
running fast and cold.

Spring run off was about
48,000 cubic feet per minute.


As you can see we all made
it in one piece.

YEAH!!

What an advenure!

6th Avenue bridge

Here in Lakewood, the city of Denver
will be extending our light rail, train service.

Lakewood is also home of a new medical
campus and new hospital, St. Anthony's

The new light rail will have a major drop
station near the new hospital and our already
existing Federal Center.

So the company built this new train bridge...

which was entirely built at the side of our very
busy highway which is a link to downtown Denver.

This way the construction did not have to impact this major
traffic artery, by closurer and detours.

After the bridge was completed it was then moved, slowly
across the road over a 2 day period, over a weekend.

What a sight to see and experience, I was able to get right down
to "ground zero" and watch the final adjustments as it came to
rest on it's cement and steel, pads.

A special truck company pulled the structure to it's
destination.
Quite a precision event, with final grinding
and sanding to make a perfect fit on the new
pillars. The entire project should be finished
by 2012.

Easter- April 2010
Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Keith,
with Brianna in her pretty Easter dress.

We all went to church and stayed to
enjoy a great Easter brunch at the church.

It was a beautiful Easter day, so the kids
could all enjoy an Easter egg hunt outside.

Keith's sister Patty was in Colorado
for Brianna's 2nd birthday.

Brianna always loves seeing her great
aunt Patty.









Rachael and Justin had such a nice party for
Brianna.

Curious George visits the farm,
was the theme for the cake and party.
Brianna really likes her stuffed pink pig,
so she had a pink pig cake too.


Happy Birthday Brianna, Now you are 2 years old.

Keith and I were able to go
to the Denver Nuggets basketball
game.

We had great seats right on the floor
behind the home team bench and the
gatorade.

We had a lot of fun and the Nuggets won.
